My 17 month old daughter has had diarrhea since last night. Today she has went through about 9 diapers in about 7 hours. Along with the diarrhea she has a diaper rash, from the diarrhea. I called the clinic and the nurse said to just watch for sings of dehydration. I am worried about her. My baby has had severe diarrhea since Thursday should I be concerned?
My baby has had diarrhea since Thursday. We had to change him last nite alone atleast 5 to 6 times. He really isn’t eating and he is drinking about 3 bottles a day. He has a wet cough with some wheezing. We called our emergency on all dr. and she told us that it’s nothing to worry about. We feel she isn’t concerned enough. Considering the fact that he is only 8 months old. Today alone we changed atleast diapers already. We feel that maybe we should take him to the ER but she disagrees. She told us that it may last anywhere from 10 to 14 days which we don’t think its ok to let an 8 month old go that long with it. Any opinions on this would be appreciated or if anybody is going through the same with any of there kids what r you doing for it? Thanks in advance!!
I don’t appreciate the lady who said common sense is what I need. I am trying everything to get this problem settled! If I had no common sense I wouldn’t be calling after hour drs.and etc. Just seeing what other people think and if they have any other ideas of what I can do since my dr. I feel isn’t taking it serious enough!! So please I wasn’t asking for rude comments just advice. I am a very good mother other wise I would have just listened to what the dr. said and let it all be!!
